After the earthquake of September 1993, in the Latur and Dharashiv districts; Bharatmata Mandirs were established in 12 villages of these districts. These mandirs provide a platform for people to come together and engage in activities like, empowering villagers, youths and students with education, health awareness and educating them about various social schemes that could be utilized for their benefit and development.
To achieve these; various schemes and facilities like ethics training sessions, bhajani mandals, study-center development, are organized on village level.
In order to increase health awareness in society, a ‘yoga trainers’ training center is run in Parbhani. It is affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Open University and the people undergoing in this training are provided with a certificate by the university. More than 100 people have been trained under this scheme, these people further go into the society and spread good health by propagating yoga.
